Robert Williams is my favorite artist ever. His brain is a beautiful mess. People may be put off by some of his work as some of it displays women objectified and and as victims.

So does almost every David Lynch movie, and a million other movies made by lesser people who exploit the violence versus using it as a means to comment on it and paint it in such a fowl light that you actually feel enraged by the concept…which anyone with a soul would be. Williams’ work may have more impact (and be considered more “offensive”) because it’s a still frame. It’s doesn’t fly by casually in HD. You have no choice but to reflect on it or turn away.

But not all his work is as such. I’m really not an art guy, but I would be if more work I saw was like this. (saw was - palindromiating!)

Still, not all of his work is like that.

I have a signed, framed Lithograph of this piece below. It is some of his earlier work, which was almost exclusively hot rod based. It is the first thing I would save if my apartment caught fire.

If I ever become successful, I will purchase as much of his work as possible. His work is so amazing to me. I cannot even fathom how someone could conceive of and actually put forth these images so brilliantly. He is simply a genius in my world.
